Fishing Trip To Pulau Aman

My latest vacation was at Pulau Aman. It is one of small islands that located around Penang. Pulau Aman is a small village with capacity around 300 villagers. There are numbers of chalet to rent range around MR70-RM200. There is room type, dorm type and even a house of the rooms to choose.

Well anyway, how to get there ? The jetty is located at Batu Kawan, near to Batu Kawan Stadium. The boat fare is RM6 for 2 ways. The only problem if you were on your first time to go there is you dont know who to contact. The information given (even if you google it) is not enough. I was lucky on the day I reached there, there was a boy name Rahim who help us to find a chalet. (His auntie is the owner.

So here we are, we rent a very 5 stars chalet with only RM120. More than 10 people can be in that big room :). The Chalet is located almost at the end of the villagers house and nearer to Telaga Mas, a historic telaga at Pulau Aman.

There are many chalets built by the villagers but this one will give you more privacy :) There is a mosque and some small shops if you wish to find something. Too bad that kedai makan closed at 9pm or earlier. We was late that day so we bought some mee maggie and that's our dinner.Too bad :( The last boat is at 7pm and we reached Pulau Aman less then 15 minutes journey.

We started our fishing activities that night from the chalet's balkoni.

ikan buntal yg menyebok

ikan duri

The next day, we went fishing at the new jetty and alhamdulillah, we managed to catch some fish :)

It was a short vacation yet a memorable one. Fishing is fun. It have been years i x fishing. I was like kekok at the first time but now boleh jadi pro baling joran. I would love to go fishing again :)
Kadang2 kene poyo dalam gambar.

Anyway, another speciality of Pulau Aman is the Restoren Terapung that serves Mee Udang yang udang ade 2 ekoq je. xcukup langsung. The taste is okay. Boleh laaaaa~~ :)

Do you remember the promise ?

Let us increase our levels of Taqwa to Allah s.w.t.by following His Guidance and leaving all that He forbids.

I remember when I was in a primary school, a friend of mine said that before we were sent to the world, before we ever exist in our mummy's tummy, Allah asked all of us a question. At that time, we were actually discussing on, why my father gave me only 50 cent a day while the rest of friends got duit kertas, you know at least RM2.

Well thats, not the point of my story today. My friend then said, I chose to live that way. I was so blur and asked for a better explanation.

She said that, before I step into the world, Allah has asked, "Syahidah, do you agree to live in a family that give you 50 cent per day for pocket money to school?". And here I am in this world with 50 cent for pocket money. Thats all she said.

And I remember it so well, until today. We had that conversation in our school canteen during recess time. I even remember her name. Well again, thats not the point of my story. Later then, I asked my father about it. Do we really have been asked by Allah ?

The answer is yes, but the question that He asked is not about how much your pocket money. The question that He asked to everyone is just the same.

"Bukankah aku ini Tuhanmu?" ( Am I not your lord?)
"Betul engkau Tuhan kami, kami menjadi saksi." (Yes! We testify.)

And remember when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed and made them testify as to themselves saying : 'Am I not your lord?' They say : 'Yes! We testify.' Lest they say on the Day of Judgement : 'Verily, we have been unaware of this."

Before we were born, we made a promise. We promised that there were no other God, but Allah s.w.t. We were witnesses to Allah's Oneness.

Back to my child hood story, even though what have been told by my friend was incorrect, they are just a little kids but they do have the idea or the point there. There was a question/promise made between Allah and us.
Just sit back and think about it, have we keep the promise ? or have we broke the promise ?

Ah Ramadhan! Apakah kita akan bertemu ?

Bukit Larut

Bukit Larut or Maxwell Hill was opened 100 years ago by a British Resident, George Maxwell and it is the oldest in Malaysia. It is 1250 meters over the sea and is about 13km distance to get to the top.The road was built in 1948.

To get to the top of the hill, you can choose either by walking ( since the road was well built) or by taking a land rover that cost RM6 per pax (RM3 for children age 5-11 years old). It takes for about 30 minutes by Land Rover with 108 curves and 72 of it is very sharp. It is more than 45 degree i think and the driver is so efficient and pro. I asked one of the driver and surprisingly, he has more than 30 years experience handling the land rover. No wonder he can drive smoothly no matter how sharp the curve is.

The scenery is superb!

The temperature at the hill is around 15 degree Celsius and Tulip was planted there. One of the people there said that Tulip will bloom end of this year, oct-dis. So dont miss a chance to go there!

If you wish to stay there, there are numbers of bungalow which cost around 120-200 which is so cheap! It can accommodate around 10-14 people for each bungalow. Be alert that for land rover service, there will be only one trip for every one hour. For more info, please contact 05-8077241.

Have I done good enough

I'll turn 23 this October. It has been almost a year since I left university, 11 months since my convocation, 6 months since my real first job at Exxonmobil. Its only less than a year since I walk into the 'so called a real world and a real life' phase but too much extraordinary things happened in my life. The walk of the journey has been filled with emotions that is unspeakable n decissions that is undecided. Sometimes I stop the walk and I looked behind and I asked myself, 'Have I done good enough?'.

I take my hands off from the keyboard and looked away from the monitor. Behind that big glossy glass in front of me is an usuall view of KL from 10th floor. I saw clouds and sky so high. and I asked myself,'Do I satisy with my achievement?'. I turned to the left, and looked at some photos which i pasted on my cubicle divider. a view of a blue sparkling sea, an inspiring view of mount yellow, a well blended colourful view of sky, clouds, trees and hills. I couldnt avoid myself from smiling each time I looked at the photos.

And so thats the questions of life
